In “United in water joy,” I aim to convey a profound sense of joy, a feeling that resonates deeply within the human experience. However, the presence of the duck toy evokes a different reflection for me; it conjures an image reminiscent of a robot, primarily because it lacks the essence of being real or alive. This juxtaposition between the joy of water and the artificiality of the duck toy invites a deeper contemplation of our connections to both nature and technology. The pelican, a magnificent bird often associated with sacrifice, has a striking mythological narrative. It was historically believed that the pelican would pierce its own breast with its sharp beak, allowing its blood to nourish and sustain its young. This poignant imagery has led the pelican to become a powerful symbol of Christ's ultimate sacrifice for humanity, representing the profound depths of love and selflessness. In various artistic depictions, pelicans are portrayed as sacrificial animals, embodying the idea that a mother will endure great pain and suffering for the sake of her children, bleeding for their survival and well-being.Furthermore, pelicans are not only symbols of sacrifice but also exemplify the strength found in community. This raises a thought-provoking question: Does this symbolism extend to how vulnerable individuals are treated within the social ward? Are we, as a society, adequately caring for those in need, or are we neglecting their emotional and physical well-being?As we ponder these questions, we must also consider the future of healthcare and the role of technology within it. Will nurses and caregivers one day be replaced by robots, machines designed to perform tasks but lacking the warmth and compassion that human beings provide? In this context, the little sweet toy duck, while perhaps a mere plaything, might represent a better friend and companion than solitude or the cold efficiency of a robotic caregiver. It serves as a reminder of the importance of emotional connections and the irreplaceable value of human touch and empathy in our lives.
